Our mission is to empower individuals with the skills and awareness needed to effectively manage stress, enhance well-being, and build resilience. By offering evidence-based practices in consciousness, Yoga, and MBSR, we strive to cultivate a culture of mindfulness that supports healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives. We pride ourselves on creating connections within the community, placing certified teachers with the appropriate training & knowledge to work with specific populations, and providing the funding needed to offer props, materials, and teacher compensation. The Ebony Yogi Foundation builds financial support into our nonprofit model through our memberships and events & looks to corporate donations, small grants & individual donations to help cover the additional costs when our Memberships just don’t cut it.
Yoga is defined as a connection made in the mind, body, and soul. The Ebony Yogi Foundation helps interested students learn, enjoy, and understand the philosophy of several different yoga styles including All Levels, Vinyasa, Yin, and Yoga Nidra. Through our yoga outreach we offer free or donation-based classes to the communities that we serve.
The other side of the Yoga business is where students may not have the means to further their education and obtain the training, and the certifications needed to give yoga back to their communities. The Ebony Yogi Foundation offers scholarships to our 200-hour YTT, 300-hour YTT, Reiki, Sound Healing, and other Yoga modalites.
